On Sunday 21 April the Tonbridge District Scouts & Guides St George’s Day Parade took place at the Castle Lawn. The parade, led by the 17th Tonbridge Scout And Guide Band began at 2 pm and made its way from the River Walk via Bradford Street, northwards up the High Street and then through the Watergate to the Tonbridge Castle Lawn. The estimated parade participation and spectators totalled over 1,000 people.
All Tonbridge Scout & Guide Groups renewed their Promises and heard details of 'Why we are here?' whilst on the Castle Lawn. Various awards were made including for the Operation Founder orienteering day and Long Service Awards.
Photos include the Lions and Friends of Lions volunteers who managed the Road Closures for the event together with LP Gordon & Peggy, two of the parade itself marching up the High Street and on the Castle Lawn and one of the guests invited by Tonbridge District Scouts & Guides.
