Supporting Compaid

On Wednesday 4th December LP Phil Jesson visited Compaid in Paddock Wood to present a cheque for £1,000 to enable 100 Special Education children to receive a Christmas gift and 60 adult clients, who live alone or lack close family, to enjoy a festive themed afternoon tea. The Club also provided 160 signed Xmas cards to accompany the gifts, and mark the occasion, for each Compaid service user. LP Phil met Steve Sherry, CEO and Diane Bradley, Fundraising Manager for a most enlightening slide presentation acknowledging the history of how Compaid was founded and the work, including transport and training, that they undertake in the local Community, From a Lions perspective Compaid are particularly active in the Tonbridge, East & West Malling, Sevenoaks,and Paddock Wood areas.
